- Help!
- I am asking for help from any one who is familiar with MIDI and Bars & Pipes.
-
- I have the manuals and please don't quote the old RTFM back to me..... This
- problem seems to be one that obeys Mr Murphy.
-
- What has happened:
-
- Originaly I had an early version of B&P and decided to buy a "cheap" keyboard
- with MIDI.
-
- After a long time I got the latest version of B&P and even bofore that I realised
- the keyboard was somewhat limited in its features: 5 chanels for a starter.
-
- So anyway I indulged myself in a MIDI module and started to get some files.
-
- Well, I am not a musical person myself, but I can indulge myself in playing about
- with the patch numbers and things like that......
-
- So I am mucked about with a simple version of the Entertainer (Scott Joplin) and
- it had two tracks - trebble and bass.
-
- So I also learnt about CC#10 (pan). If the value = 0, left and if = 127, right.
- (and put each on a seperate midi channel number)
-
- So I mucked about with the values and put the bass to 0 and the trebble to 127,
- so it would "look" like a real piano.
-
- When I double click on the track window, and play the track from within the
- window, all is sweet, but when I play the song, both bass and trebble come out
- the one speaker.
-
- I know a person who has a copy that does work, but I would really like to
- know /
- learn why this is happening.
-
-
- Please reply direct.
-
- Many thanks in advance.
